Please understand that I believe propper shoes are needed as a part of
caring for your FOOT EDEMA. If impropper shoes are worn and they are too
tight, the shoe can possibly cut off your foot circulation or make the circulation
in your feet worse possibly leading to complications such as gangrene, ulceration,
infection, etc...

I believe the sub specialty of podiatric orthopedics and primary podiatric
medicine is important. This specialty is involved in the examination, diagnosis,
and treatment of foot edema.

I believe that in this day and age a
vascular doctor should also
examine and evaluate the patient
with foot edema and or foot PVD
poor circulation. For your

cause or causes exascerbating
your foot edema such as cardiac
pathology, liver disease, impropper
diet, kidney disease, etc..

Perhaps an idea I thought of is
that impropper foot function could
result in your foot muscles
overworking and perhaps this
may worsen edema in your feet.
Therefore foot orthotics may
possibly when propperly made
have a positive or negative effect
on any foot edema. So far I do
not know of any medical studies
supporting this idea. Lastly if you
purchase foot orthotics you risk
spending your money and losing
your money.
